...by making it yourself!
I've just added a new section to my website at http://lisalogan.net ... Workshops. Workshop #1 is a DIY tutorial on how to put together a book trailer/video presentation that will have people talking. It's easier than you may think, and what's more, it's based on software that Windows users already have on their systems!
Whether you're a writer looking for cutting edge ways to promote your work, make trailers already and are interested in tips on how to make them even better, or simply want to take photos or home movies and create a jazzy presentation like no other, the DIY Book Trailer Workshop is just the thing for you!
The self study course contains a wealth of information, including:
1. Why you need a trailer
2. What goes into an effective presentation
3. Common mistakes to avoid
4. How-to's for producing a trailer, including timing your piece to a musical score and adding special effects
5. Where to showcase your trailer once it's finished
A brand new forum has been added for discussion and questions along the way.
So don't hesitate! Visit http://lisalogan.net today and click the new Workshops link to get started! Oh, and for those who have or will be making book trailers, stay tuned for information on a trailer CONTEST that MysteryAuthors.com will be sponsoring early this summer.
Happy "Trails!"

Hey Lisa
I did stop by You Tube to check out you trailer and I think it's a great promo tool and a fantastic production. My hats off to anyone that can put visuals together like that. I just wonder if something like that would work for E-books. My sales are lagging and I'm looking for a boost that will re-energize Kate's Song.
Thanks, A.C.! I definitely think eBooks can benefit from trailers....VISIONS itself is available in eBook as well as print. Check out my trailer workshop to see how easy it is to make one for yourself! Drop me a line if you have any questions.
HEY--I found the place to enter the comments on your blog....Don't ask me why I couldn't find it earlier. I commented on your site last week.
Anyway thanks so much for this DIY trailer making class...What an eye opener. Enjoyed your trailer on youtube...what mysterious music. It gives me chills. Good presentation.
You would think I was ADD because of course I began viewing other videos. (Found a cool one of a beatboxing flute player playing Peter and the Wolf. Oh yeah, you never know what you can find. But I have returned to write this comment, rambling as it is.
Who would have ever imagined a trailer for a book? Times change. Glad you are keeping us informed on the new technology and trends.
